Great advance from Planswift!!!!!
This is a great software!!!
I have always been a strong supporter of PlanSwift…
I first came across this program while looking for user friendly takeoff software that has great support and is also very economical for the smaller contractor.
PlanSwift fit our needs perfectly, I like the fact that you can set it up the any way that you want, use it in different configurations that best suite the you the contractor.
I was very happy when I heard that the company returned to it’s original ownership group. I also am looking forward to the future, and for the new additions that will be coming out that will only add to a already great product.
I have used Planswift for, oh, probably near ten years. It is certainly very useful for doing accurate takeoffs and estimating, and the support is generally quite good. But recently I’ve notice the tendency of the support people to redirect questions about functionality of the software to the training department. The minimum sold is three hours at about $100/hour. I don’t need three hours of training, I just need answers to legitimate questions that I used to get before the sale to Oracle/Textura, and then the strange reversal to private hands. I’ll be surprised if this message makes it to their website.
Dixon,
I can understand your frustration. As PlanSwift grows the number of calls, questions, etc. grows as well. This growth causes us to look at our processes, it also forces us to separate our Support, Customer Care and Training departments. I hope you know that we are dedicated to helping our customers, it just may be in a different way than we were able to in the past. I took a minute to look at the notes on your account and it looks like you have been in contact with our team, I hope they were able to help you out.
It wasn’t a reversal to private hands, it was a purchase by a long time PlanSwift employee. This was a great step for PlanSwift as a company and our customers.
I’d like to thank you for being a long time customer (9-1/2 years)! I hope our software has helped your company to accurately bid more and win more jobs.
